Very productive day. Made a trip out to the fabric store. Grabbed a few yards of white and black stretch cotton.
Seams serged… notice where the shoulders are on the pattern?
It was really meant to be worn as a hoodie. But it’s one of those pieces that can be worn as many ways as possible.

You know those mornings when you frantically pull shirts out of the closet, put em all on… then end up wearing the first one you chose… awesome.
Well… you end up looking like this.

Stopped by the car lot to grab the plates today. I keep telling myself that I wanted to move on to another car anyways… fuck… I can’t even finish this post…

My sister picked these up for me when I stopped home in Toronto this weekend. I think the first 2 million pairs sold out within the first week or so.

So here it is… it looks ok. The bubble yolk could’ve been bigger. The sleeve pattern was wrong, so I it sits weird on the wrist and fits tight in the forearm.
Close up of that sleeve… see how it’s bustin’ out at the seam… You can’t see it.. but I used 3 shades of gray and highlighter pink for the serged seams.
I think the collar could’ve been exaggerated a bit more as well…. Margiela style. Maybe next time.

Remember that daily doodle with the bubble shirt I sketched a month ago? I finally got around to it.
I need more thread… rethreading sergers are fun not.
Collar with structure
So I got home around 3:30am yesterday… and thought it was a good idea to try and finish the shirt. I was almost finished… (on the second last seam) when the back of the shirt decided to get pulled into the serger…
So there it is… fixed… 5am crashout.
